Everyone gives a lot of love to the quarterback, but we’ve seen the importance of running backs over the course of this season. Multiple teams like the Ravens, Falcons, and even the Chiefs have seen a noticeable lift from their backfield. Tonight we have two teams who are searching to get their running backs rolling.
The Buccaneers have Bucky Irving leading the way, and he has been solid throughout his first four games. His first week of the year was the one where he was least involved, but it also saw him score his lone touchdown for the season.
Irving hasn’t been involved much in the passing game, and temporary quarterback Jalon Daniels didn’t even target him in his start against the Packers. Kenneth Gainwell gives Irving a break, but he hasn’t been successful with just 2.0 yards per carry.
The Dallas Cowboys aren’t exactly known for their backfield. Instead, Dak Prescott tends to lead the way, but their running game isn’t exactly dormant. Javonte Williams has run the ball 62 times over his first four games and has averaged 3.7 yards per carry and found the end zone five times already.
The team has found him out of the backfield for some catches as well. Williams has hauled in 15 of his 18 passes and scored another touchdown there, giving him six total for the year. Even Dak Prescott has scrambled a bit for some good yardage this year.
Who will be more effective on the ground tonight? Will Williams get his first 100-yard game of the season? Can Bucky Irving keep the chains moving, so the Buccaneers can control the football? Betr has your back tonight with an offer for $200 in bonus bets when you use promo code FOXNEWS.
