INTRO: Vice President J-D Vance traveled to Belgrade, Montana, Monday to rally support for Republican candidates in the state ahead of next week’s midterm elections. The vice president says the Trump administration has been focused on helping Americans.
ACK: Vice President JD Vance
TAG: Republicans have consistently won in Montana in the past … but polls suggest this year’s races are more competitive. President Trump has faced sagging approval ratings in part because of his handling of the economy and the war in Iran. Both the president and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) have rallied in Montana earlier this month.
