INTRO: The family of Alex Pretti, the Minnesota native and U-S citizen who was fatally shot by federal immigration agents back in January, holding a press conference on Tuesday for the first time since the shooting. Alex’s father, Michael Pretti, says his son was only trying to help a woman get to her feet when he was executed by ICE agents, and says they have received no contact from federal authorities about the shooting. He says they are demanding the government bring the agents responsible to justice, and called for U-S Attorney General Todd Blanche and U-S Attorney for the District of Minnesota Daniel Rosen to take action.
