INTRO: Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy ordered a probe after a report from The New York Times claimed Alaska Democratic Senate nominee Mary Peltola’s campaign worked to get a second Dan Sullivan to run in the Senate race against incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. Speaking at a campaign rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Thursday … President Trump continues to call for there to be consequences.
ACK: President Donald Trump
TAG: Both the non-incumbent Dan Sullivan and Peltola’s campaign have denied working together. Alaska’s Supreme Court had ruled the second Dan Sullivan was allowed to run … and both parties in the past have backed candidates to try and dilute votes. The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit to block Alaska’s election results if Senator Sullivan narrowly loses his race.
