El-Sayed disinvited Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D) from a campaign event after she called on him to disavow an ad blaming Israel for high prices. At a campaign event in Detroit, Rogers criticized his opponent, saying he’d never seen a Democratic candidate turn away voters like this. Rogers also invited Stevens to join him instead.
