The Breeders’ Cup runs Friday and Saturday at Keeneland, and Saturday’s $7 million Classic is the richest race on the American calendar. Horse racing isn’t offered on most sportsbook apps, so you’ll need a racebook to get in on the action. Here are the best options and where each one is available.
The 2026 Breeders’ Cup at a Glance
- Dates: Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31
- Track: Keeneland Race Course, Lexington, Kentucky
- Main event: $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic, 1 1/4 miles on dirt, Saturday
- Favorite: Defending champion Forever Young, 2-1 on the morning line
Friday is built around the 2-year-old races, and Saturday stacks nine more Grade 1s on top of each other before the Classic closes the show. This is Keeneland’s fourth time hosting, after 2015, 2020 and 2022.
Why You Need a Racebook
Horse racing is pari-mutuel betting, which means you’re betting into a pool against other bettors instead of against the house. It’s regulated separately from sports betting, so racing usually lives in its own app. Each platform below is licensed for racing, but availability varies by state.
FanDuel Racing
FanDuel Racing is the most widely available of the big-name racing apps, live in more than 20 states. It offers full pari-mutuel wagering on the Breeders’ Cup card, plus live video and replays. The best part for existing FanDuel customers is the shared wallet. If you already have a FanDuel Sportsbook account, the same balance works on FanDuel Racing, so you don’t need to fund a separate account.
BetMGM Racebook
BetMGM Racebook is a standalone app with the same look and feel as the BetMGM Sportsbook. It covers the full Breeders’ Cup card, but it’s only available in three states right now: Florida, Louisiana and Ohio. If you live in one of them, it’s an easy option for BetMGM customers.
TwinSpires
TwinSpires is owned by Churchill Downs and has been one of the biggest names in online horse racing for years. It’s available in more states than most racing apps and is built for serious horse players, with deep track coverage, handicapping tools and race replays. If FanDuel Racing and BetMGM Racebook aren’t available where you live, TwinSpires is the first place to check.
Use the Sportsbook Offers on the Rest of the Weekend
The FanDuel and BetMGM sportsbook welcome offers can’t be used on horse racing, but there’s plenty else on the board. Canelo Alvarez challenges Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title Saturday, Florida and Georgia play in Atlanta, the NBA has a full Saturday night slate and the NFL takes over Sunday.
