INTRO: Michigan Democratic Representative Haley Stevens endorsed Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers Sunday after previously endorsing Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed (awb-DOOL’ el-SIGH’-yedd). Speaking to reporters alongside Rogers … Representative Stevens says she’s still a Democrat.
ACK: Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI)
TAG: The announcement comes after El-Sayed said he did not want Representative Stevens to attend a Democratic unity event at a church service Sunday. The two have sparred over El-Sayed’s stance on Israel … which included an ad that was put out by an independent group in support of El-Sayed that linked U-S support for Israel to high prices. The fiancé of Representative Stevens had endorsed Rogers last week. The latest Fox Power Rankings consider Michigan a toss-up.
