A 23-year-old Loudoun County jail inmate has been sentenced to 10 years and six months for attacking two female sheriff’s deputies.
Shane Lucas was sentenced in Loudoun County Circuit Court on charges including malicious bodily injury to a law enforcement officer, obscene sexual display, assault and battery of a law enforcement officer, and sexual battery.
Both attacks happened at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center while Lucas was being held on unrelated charges.
In May 2025, Lucas exposed himself to a deputy, then punched and knocked her down, kicking and stomping her before she was able to restrain him.
A year later, he attacked another female deputy, striking her several times in the face before she restrained him.
Lucas must also register as a sex offender.
