A domestic violence investigation in Loudoun County has led to the arrest of a 30-year-old Woodbridge man.
Christian De Jesus Santiago was taken into custody Sunday evening after detectives made contact with him. The investigation began around 12 PM when deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 41-thousand block of Conejo Way. A woman could be heard yelling during the call.
Deputies determined she had been assaulted by her husband, who had left the scene. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
An extensive search found that Santiago had left Loudoun County, but detectives later located him and arrested him without incident.
He is charged with domestic assault and battery, abduction, and preventing a 911 call. Santiago is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
