Frederick (MD) County public schools will close 3-hours early.Offices will remain open.  All FCPS and community-group after school and evening activities are canceled or postponed. School-based daycare programs, Community School vendors, and Parks and Recreation programs in school gyms make and communicate decisions concerning their schedules.

Washington (MD) County public schools will close 2-hours early.Other on Monday 3/16
Washington County Public Schools will dismiss students 2 hours early tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026. All after-school and evening activities are canceled.

Montgomery County Public Schools High Schools will dismiss at 12:00 pm (Northwood HS at 11:40) • Middle Schools will dismiss at 12:30 pm • Elementary Schools that begin at 9:00 am will dismiss at 12:55 pm • Elementary Schools that begin at 9:25 am will dismiss at 1:20 pm

Frederick Community College will close both the Main and Monroe campuses at 12:30 pm today, Monday March 16, 2026. All on-campus classes, activities, and services are canceled for the remainder of the day and evening 

Maryland State Government The State has declared liberal leave for Baltimore City and all counties other than Garrett, Allegany, and Worcester counties from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on March 16, 2026.
