Car hits, injures 4 Maryland high schoolers waiting for bus

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) – Police say four high school students were struck by a car while they were waiting for a school bus in Maryland near Washington, D.C.

Montgomery County police Capt. Paul Starks tells news outlets the students were injured when the car hit them Tuesday morning in Aspen Hill. All four of the 14- and 15-year-olds were taken to a hospital and one has life-threatening injuries. The 21-year-old man driving the car that struck them was also taken to a hospital.

Police say the car had collided with another that sent it onto the sidewalk and into the group of teenagers. Starks says police were interviewing the 25-year-old man who was driving the other car.

No one has been charged with a crime and police are still investigating.
