The head on collision killed a 68 year old man
Leitersburg, Md. (DG) – An Emmitsburg man was killed in a two vehicle accident in Washington County on Tuesday night.
Maryland State Police responded to a head-on collision on Ringgold Pike near Misty Meadow Road at around 9:20 p.m.
A Subaru driven by Timothy Keilholtz, 68, was traveling eastbound on Rt 418 when he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head on, according to a press release.
The driver of the second vehicle, Scott Brown, 41, attempted to swerve to the right avoid being struck but was unable to move in time.
Keilholtz was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
