The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing Monday morning in New Windsor.
Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Orchard View Road at around 8:37 AM. They found the victim who was a 26-year-old male. He was transported to Shock Trauma as a precaution. Authorities say his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
While on their way to the scene, deputies heard that the suspect had left the area and went to a home on Sandel Lane. They arrived at that location and detained a 29-year-old female, who was interviewed by detectives.
She is no longer being detained.
Once the investigation is completed, the Sheriff’s Office says the results will be presented to the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office which will decide on possible charges.
