The new retail center will replace the closed Frederick Towne Mall.
A groundbreaking will take place on Saturday at the former Frederick Towne Mall site. Officials from the City of Frederick, Golden Mile Alliance and DLC Management will turn the dirt for the new Frederick Towne Center and Walmart Supercenter.
The event will take place at 9:00m AM at the entrance to the old Bon Ton which is closest to the Home Depot.
The public is invited to attend.
