Officials Say Car Fire In Taneytown Deliberately Set

A suspect is being sought.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is looking for a suspect who set a car on fire Sunday night in Taneytown.

Authorities say fire fighters responded to Chaz’s Auto Parts at 47 Memorial Drive at 9:13 PM  for a Dodge Dynasty on fire. They spent five-minutes putting out the flames. No one was hurt.

Damage to the car is estimated at $250.
