Man Charged With Stealing Vehicle From Auto Dealership

He’s arrested the area of Rts. 15 & 340.

A man who stole a pickup truck from an auto dealership  has been arrested. Chad Cummings Gaffney, 44, of Brunswick was taken into custody on Monday by Frederick Police. He’s charged with theft of a motor vehicle, driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving on a suspended license and driving while suspended.
Authorities say they received a call from South Street Auto Sales on Rosemont Avenue, where employees say a man came into the dealership and asked to see a Ford pickup. An employee opened up the vehicle. After turning away, the customer started up the truck and drove off.

Employees followed the vehicle, and alerted police to its location. Officers found it in the area of Routes 15 and 340, where Gaffney was apprehended.

Authorities say he was driving under the influence of alcohol, and had a suspended driver’s license.
