Those who used a closed field could face penalties.
The City of Frederick’s Parks and Recreation Department says these following fields are closed due to wet conditions.
*Both softball fields at Baker Park.
*The Fleming Avenue Fields.
*The lighted baseball field at Loats Park.
*The baseball field at Max Kehne Park.
*The baseball and softball fields at Riverwalk Park.
*The softball field at Walnut Ridge Park.
All other athletic fields are open and available for use.
City officials remind residents that no one is permitted to use an athletic field when it’s closed. Violators could be fined and/or face the loss of the use of the field for the season. Unpermitted users of a closed field could be subject to a warning and/or citation.
