Deputies find drugs in his vehicle.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Hagerstown man with traffic and drug offenses following a vehicle chase early Friday morning. Andrew F. Gough (Goff), 52, was taken into custody.

Deputies were stationed at Route 15 and Bartgis Road when shortly before 1:00 AM, they noticed a vehicle cross the white line and nearly strike one of the deputies. Three of the vehicle’s tires were deflated and it came to a stop on Route 15 north of Route 40.

Gough was arrested without incident. He’s charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, two counts of possession of drugs (not marijuana), possession of drugs with intent to distribute and possession of an opiad without a prescription.

Gough was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
