His wife & daughter were found shot to death Friday afternoon.
A Harpers Ferry man is charged with fatally shooting his wife and his daughter. Charles Clark, 83, was arraigned Friday afternoon before a Jefferson County Magistrate, and is being held at the Eastern Regional Jail without bond.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to a home at 25 White Dogwood Place shortly before 1:00 PM, after a woman called 911, saying a man was trying to shoot she and his wife.
Authorities arriving on the scene surrounded the home, and discovered the bodies of two women near the rear porch. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. They’re identified as Shirley Clark, 79, and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Mansfield, 60 .
Clark was arrested without incident.
The case remains under investigation.
