FREDERICK, Md. (KR) Maryland State Police are looking for a man that attempted an armed robbery at Safeway in Mount Airy on Monday.
Troopers say just after 3:00 PM a white man tried to steal hygiene products from the store and when he was confronted by employees he pulled out a knife and threatened them if they tried to stop him.
Police say the man fled the store with stolen merchandise before they arrived to the scene. Video surveillance was taken from Safeway for further investigation.
Troopers say the man is in his 30’s with some facial hair, tattoos on his right forearm and he was wearing an Orioles baseball hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police in Westminster at 410-386-3000.
