One Person Arrested For Marijuana Possesion

He was picked up following an alleged drug transaction.

Frederick Police have charged a local man with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Lindayle Lambert, 25, was arrested Wednesday night after Street Crimes Team officers observed what they say looked like a drug transaction.

A dark, four-door vehicle pulled into a parking lot at West Patrick Street and Baughman’s Lane with no one getting out. Authorities say a man identified as Lambert got into the car. Moments later, he got out of the vehicle and walked away.

One group of officers stopped the black vehicle. They confiscated an amount of marijuana after the driver spit out several baggies from his mouth. The driver told police that Lambert sold him the pot.

Lambert was stopped by another group of officers,. They searched his person and found specified amounts of cash. Lambert was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing.

He’s charged with one count each of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, unlawfully possessing marijuana in an amount with the intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana.

Officers with the Street Crimes Team say that the amount of time Lambert stayed inside the dark vehicle, the way the marijuana was packed and the amount of money located on his person were characteristics of a drug transaction, and drug distribution.
