FREDERICK, Md. (DG) Tomorrow (Saturday) Planting Hope is teaming up with over 30 churches and community groups to provide for area families in need. At the Frederick Fair Grounds they will be providing free food, haircuts, free family portraits, medical check ups, and connection to community services.
The event takes place at the Frederick Fairgrounds from 10 until 3 PM.
Event organizers said yesterday they were expecting the food truck to drop off 70,000 pounds of food, but only 30,000 was delivered. Planting Hope is hoping the Frederick Community will be able to step in and help by donating additional food. You can also go to ppfinc.org to make a donation to help.
