Hagerstown Man Dies After Being Struck By A Car

Authorities say he was riding his bicycle along the Dual Highway.

A Hagerstown man was killed Thursday night after he was struck by a motor vehicle while riding a bicycle.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says Michael Solony, 57, was traveling north from the medium in the 1300 block of the Dual Highway in area of Memory Lane Antiques  when he crossed into the westbound lanes, and was struck by a Subaru which was traveling west bound.

Solony was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the driver of the Subaru was determined not to be at fault.
