Traffic Patterns To Change On Boyers Mill Rd

Motorists are urged to plan accordingly.

A new traffic pattern will go into affect on Monday, June 20th at the Boyers Mill Road bridge.

The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering says temporary traffic signals will be activated which will switch vehicles from the old bridge to the new bridge. The old span will demolished.

The traffic lights will be placed at both ends of the new bridge, and will only allow one lane of traffic to cross.

The county says delays can be expected and motorists should plan accordingly, and allow adequate time to get to their destinations. Officials ask residents to be patient as during this stage of construction. The contractor, Concrete General, says every effort will be made to minimize delays, which could last up to several minutes, especially during peak morning and evening hours.
