Charles Town Man Arrested For Burglary

He was apprehended as he tried to escape through a window.

A Charles Town, West Virginia man is incarcerated at the Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg  on $100,000 bond following a burglary. Timothy James Campbell, 30, was arrested Wednesday morning.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, along with Ranson Police and the West Virginia State Police, were dispatched to a home on Shenandoah Ranch Road in the Keyes Ferry Acres area of Harpers Ferry for a breaking and entering. A resident had  called the County’s Emergency Communications Center and said someone had entered his home, and was inside.

Authorities surrounded the house, and took Campbell into custody after he tried to escape through a window. He was in possession of a handgun and a knife.

Campbell was arraigned on burglary charges before being taken to jail.
