Frederick County Detention Center Inmate Charged With Home Invasion Robbery

He was served with a warrant on June 16th.


A man already behind bars at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center has been charged in connection with a home invasion robbery. Paul Phelps was indicted on June 10th for robbery, armed robbery, 1st-degree burglary, 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and theft under $1,000. .

He was served the warrant on June 16th.

Frederick Police say Phelps is a suspected in a home invasion and armed robbery on April 21st in the 200 block of Thomas Avenue. Detectives responded to the scene and, after searching the area, they were able to develop an image of the suspect as he fled the area.

Detective Ames with the Frederick Police Department gave testimony to the Grand Jury on June 10th in connection with the home invasion robbery. The panel returned an indictment against Phelps, whose behind bars on other charges.
