Non-Perishable Food Donations Needed By The Frederick Food Bank

The Food Bank serves more than 700 families each month.

The Frederick Food Bank is in need of non-perishable food donations. The agency says it especially needs peanut butter, pastas, rice, spaghetti or tomato sauce, cereal, canned fish like tuna, and canned meats.

Donations are tax deductible, and cash contributions will also be accepted.

The Frederick Food Bank is located at 14 East All Saints Street.

The Food Bank provides a three to five-day supply of food for needy families who can’t afford their groceries. 700 to 750 families are served by the Food Bank each month.

The Food Bank is operated by the Frederick Community Action Agency which provides food, shelter, medical care, housing and other forms of assistance to low income and homeless families, and individuals in need.

The FCAA is sponsored by the City of Frederick and  the Friends of Neighborhood Progress, Inc., with support from Frederick County Government and United Way.
