Contract Ratified By Frederick Co. Paid Fire Fighters & Paramedics

It’s expected to go into effect July 1st.

A two-year agreement between Career Fire Fighters and Paramedics and Frederick County has been ratified. The contract with the Career Fire Fighters and Paramedics Association of Frederick County Local #3666 was voted on favorably this week by union members. The notice that the agreement had been ratified was received by the county late Wednesday.

The contract includes a new pay scale for newly integrated paramedics, salary increases, adjustments to sick leave and payout of floating holidays.

The county on May 19th, 2016 signed a three-year agreementĀ  with correctional officers of the FOP Lodge No. 102A. It also signed a three-year contract with deputy sheriffs of FOP Lodge No. 102 on May 24th, 2016 These contracts provide salaries which are competitive with surrounding jurisdictions, county officials say in a statement.

“I am pleased that we’ve been able to reach agreements with three of the County’s public safety bargaining units this year,” says County Executive Jan Gardner, in a statement. “Our fire fighters, paramedics, law enforcement and correctional officers put their lives on the line each day. I value our employees and the exemplary work they do.”

All three contracts go into effect on July first.
