Baltimore Man Arrested In Frederick On Cocaine Charges

He had the drugs in a sock in his car.

A Baltimore man is charged in Frederick with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute,  possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. Winston A. Cook,Jr., 34, was arrested late Thursday night following a traffic stop in the area of East All Saints and South East Streets.

Officers with the Frederick Police Street Crime Team noticed a driver failed to signal a lane change, and was pulled over.

During the traffic stop, authorities say Cook appeared nervous and fumbled for his paperwork. Officers gained permission to search his car, and found a sock in the rear of the vehicle which contained 22-grams of cocaine.

Cook was taken into to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing. .
