FREDERICK, Md. (KR) The Frederick Police Department arrested a man after he robbed an elderly woman in the Prospect Plaza Shopping Center.
Authorities say on Monday, 24 year-old Timothy Blickenstaff pushed the woman to the ground before taking her purse and fleeing in his vehicle and hitting another car as he was driving away.
After police arrived they were able to get a detailed description of the suspect from a witness and were able to track down Blickenstaff at the Super 8 Motel at 20 Monocacy Boulevard.
The victim had minor injuries during the robbery and was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital. Blickenstaff was charged with robbery, assault, theft, and reckless endangerment.
