For the fourth day in a row, the region in under a heat advisory as temperatures soar to near 100 degrees.
The heat advisory will be in effect until 8 PM. Forecasters say temperatures will rise to the upper 90’s with heat index values up to 109.
Officials say you should take extra precautions if you work or plan on spending time outside today. Schedule strenuous activities for early in the morning or evening. To wear light colored, loose fitting clothes and drink plenty of water.
Anyone who is overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location immediately.
