County officials say it will undergo improvements.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering says that Ijamsville Road from Route 144 (Old National Pike) to the CSX railroad crossing will be closed started August tenth.
Officials say Phase two of the Ijamsville Road improvements will take place during that time. The roadway is expected to reopen in the fall of 2017.
The work will include widening the roadway, drainage and safety improvements, signing and pavement making, erosion and sediment control and traffic maintenance.
A detour will be set up. Traffic will use Old National Pike (Rt. 144) and Mussetter Road.
There will be temporary access to Ijamsville Road for local traffic during this construction period.
Emergency personnel and the school system have been notified.
