Buckeystown, Md. (KM) A woman from Point of Rocks who was involved in a one-vehicle crash on Sunday has died. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says Elizabeth J. Catoe, 19, succumbed to her injuries on Monday morning.
Deputies responded to the 5600 block of Manor Woods Road on Sunday morning around 8:44. They determined that a Hyundai Elantra operated by Catoe failed to negotiate a left turn in the roadway. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree head-on.
Catoe was taken to Meritus Medical Center where she died.
Authorities say alcohol was not a contributing factor in this crash.
