FREDERICK, Md. (KR) A serious accident involving an overturned dump truck and a tractor trailer happened around 4:50 am. Around the same time a person that was on the bridge also fell into the water of the Monocacy River. It is unclear why that person fell into the water. Police are directing traffic around the scene on the east bound in one right lane with the other east bound lanes closed. All west bound lanes are closed at the scene. Rt. 144 is being used as an alternate.
