The crash remains under investigation.
Hampstead, Md (KM) The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a fatal crash in Hampstead early Saturday morning.
Authorities say Terry Michael Schindle, 27, of Hampstead was the driver of a Volkswagen Rabbit which failed to negotiate a right curve along Upper Beckleysville Road and England Drive. His vehicle crossed the double yellow line, and continued northbound before entering the southbound the grassy shoulder. The vehicle’s driver’s side struck several trees before coming back on to both travel lanes of the roadway. It continued in a northeast direction before coming to a final rest on the northbound bound grassy shoulder.
Schindle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say the weather was clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
