Identity Theft & Fraud Prevention Workshop To Be Held In Frederick

It’s sponsored by Rep. Delaney.

Frederick, Md (KM)  Congressman John Delaney says he will hold an Identity Theft and Fraud Prevention Workshop on Tuesday in Frederick. It takes place at Frederick Community College beginning at 6:00 PM.

“Millions of Americans are victimized by identity theft and fraud schemes each year and this workshop is about offering Marylanders information on how they can better protect themselves,” says Delaney in a statement. “Scammers are targeting Marylanders on line, in the mail and on the doorstep and we make to make sure our community knows what to look for.”

Delaney says a number of federal, state and local officials will be attending, including representatives from the US Postal Service, IRS, The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, the Offices of the US and Maryland Attorneys General, the Maryland Insurance Administration, the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, and TransUnion.

The workshop will feature a panel discussion and an open session for one-on-one discussion.

The workshop is free, but anyone who wants to attend should call 301-926-0300 and register.

Delaney’s office says this is the 23rd constituent services workshop held by the Congressman since 2015.
