BRUNSWICK, Md. (DG)-Police are investigating the body of a man found in the Potomac River.
Maryland State Police received a call Monday around 10:30 PM from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a missing person.
Police in Loudoun County said a man reported missing by his family, may be in the area of Route 15 and the Potomac River in Point of Rocks.
After an intense search, the man was found dead in the river. A preliminary investigation indicates the man jumped from the bridge to the river below.
A cause of death has not been determined pending the results of an autopsy.
