SABILLASVILLE, Md. (DG)-A Thurmont man was killed in a single vehicle accident Tuesday night in Frederick County.
Maryland State Police responded to an accident on Route 77 east at Quirauk Road shortly before 11 PM.
Their investigation revealed a Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Christopher Kline, was traveling eastbound on Route 77 when he drove off the left side of the road for unknown reasons and struck several trees. There were no skid or brake marks found on the road. Kline was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police say it is not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
