Brunswick Man Arrested For Possession Of Meth

He also had an active arrest warrant.


Frederick, Md. (KM)  A Brunswick man with an active arrest warrant was taken into custody in Frederick Friday morning. Nicholas A. Riley, 23, was arrested following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Prospect Boulevard.

At around 10:11 AM,  Frederick Police say two of its officers observed a suspicious vehicle in front of them. From a routine check, they learned the owner had an active arrest warrant. After the car pulled into a parking space, officers approached and made contact with the driver.
A police canine called to the scene indicated a presence of drugs in the vehicle. A search by officers netted a small quantity of suspected Methamphetamine.

Riley was placed under arrest. He’s charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically methamphetamine.

A passenger in his car who also had an active arrest warrant was taken into custody.
