Officials say it will allow the public access to meeting & information available at their local libraries.
Frederick, Md. (KM) Three Frederick County branch libraries will be open later hours starting on Tuesday, September 6th. The Public Library System says the C. Burr Artz Library, as well as the branch libraries in Thurmont and Urbana will be open until 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday.
“The restoration of the 9:00 PM closing time at our three regional library branches is something that FCPL is thrilled to offer our customers,” says Associate Director Sheila McDuff with Frederick County Public Libraries. “We heard from the public that the earlier closure did not meet their needs, and it is exciting to be able to offer our services and meeting rooms to better serve the community.”
The additional hours will allow FCPL patrons more time to receive assistance with questions and access to information, says McDuff.
