Morton Aigeltinger has been missing for almost a year.
Kearneysville, WV (KM) It’s been almost one year since Morton Aigeltinger, 56, was reported missing, and the Jefferson County, West Virginia Sheriff’s Office says it’s still pursuing leads in this case. The agency says a $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Aigeltinger.
He was last seen on September 8th, 2015 when he stopped at a Sheetz gas station in Manassas Park, Virginia shortly before 8:00 PM. He did not show up at a school in Prince William County, Va., or at his place of employment the next day.
The Sheriff’s Office says there are no phone records, vehicle sightings or credit card transactions from Aigeltinger after he left the Sheetz gas station.
Deputies say his car was found on September 14th on John Rissler Road about a mile from his home. Authorities say there was no damage to the vehicle.
A search was conducted on both sides of the Shenandoah River by deputies, the West Virginia State Police and local fire companies, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say boats were put in the water, and cadaver dogs and a helicopter from CSX were used in the search. But no sign of Aigeltinger or his belongings was found.
Aigeltinger is a white male, 5’8″ tall, weighing 155 pounds.
