There were no injuries.
Westminster, Md (KM) Investigators with the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office say the cause of a pickup truck fire Monday afternoon was accidental.
At around 2:18 PM, emergency workers were dispatched to 1708 Yorkland Road In Westminster where they found a Ford F-250 on fire. They spent ten-minutes bringing the flames under control. No one was injured.
Fire Marshals say the fire resulted from discarded rags saturated with linseed oil which were placed in a plastic bag and left in the bed of the truck.
Damage is estimated at $5,000 to the truck and $1500 to the contents.
The fire was discovered by a neighbor.
The Reese and Community Volunteer Fire Companies responded to the scene.
