Westminster, Md (KM)  Investigators with the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office say the cause of a pickup truck fire Monday afternoon was accidental.

At around 2:18 PM, emergency workers were dispatched to 1708 Yorkland Road In Westminster where they found a Ford F-250 on fire. They spent ten-minutes bringing the flames under control. No one was injured.

Fire Marshals say the fire resulted from discarded rags saturated with linseed oil which were placed in a plastic bag and left in the bed of the truck.

Damage is estimated at $5,000 to the truck and $1500 to the contents.

The fire was discovered by a neighbor.
