Two Arrested For Robbery, Assault

Frederick, Md. (KM)  Frederick Police took two men into custody in connection with a robbery and assault Thursday. Anthony Eugene Reid, Jr., 27, of Walkersville,  and Thomas Edward Reid, 23, of Frederick are both charged with one count each of robbery, 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft under $100.

Authorities were dispatched to the 700 block of Wembley Court for a fight. They encountered the victim who was struck by two individuals using fists, knees and choke holds. He had facial injuries, including a possible broken nose, large contusions about his left eye, redness around his throat and neck, busted lips, chipped teeth and blood about his face.

The victim was distraught, but he told officers he was attacked by two men whom he knew, who tried to drag him away from his residence. The two assailants fled when a neighbor came outside . As they were leaving, the pair told the victim “if you go to the cops, we’ll finish you off.”

He identified the two suspects as Anthony and Thomas Reid.

The Street Crimes Team was able to locate Anthony Reid at his home in the 10,400 block of Glade Road in Walkersville. Later on, they picked up Thomas Reid in the 10,800 block of Old Annapolis Road. Both were arrested without incident.
