Two Arrested For Stealing Truck With Tools

The vehicle was located the day after the thefts were reported.


Westminster, Md (KM) Two men have been charged with theft between $1,000 and $10, 000, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and conspiracy after they were arrested for stealing a truck with tools inside. Daniel Brent Kowalski, 36, of Finksburg, and Bryan Matthew Mc-Gehrin, 30, of Taneytown, were taken into custody following a traffic stop Wednesday on Route 140 near Sandymount Road.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded on Tuesday morning to the 2400 block of Marston Road. The victim told authorities that a work van with ladder racks on the top and tools inside was taken from the residence.

The loss of the van and the tools inside was estimated to be $6,000.

The vehicle along with some of the tools inside was recovered following the arrests of the two suspects, and returned to the owner.
