Hagerstown Police Arrest One, Seek Another In Gas Station Robbery

The clerk on duty was grabbed from behind.

Hagesrtown, Md. (KM)  Hagerstown Police are searching for a second suspect in the robbery of a Sunoco gas station on the Dual Highway Sunday afternoon. Officers apprehended Kevin Edmond BeCfraft,39, of Germantown., and are looking for Michael Wayne Osborne, also 39, of Hagerstown.

Authorities say two men entered the gas station. One paid for an item while the other man grabbed the attendant from behind, and held him back while his accomplice took money from the cash register.

Both fled on foot. One suspect headed south on Eastern Boulevard while the direction of other suspect is unknown. No one was hurt.

An immediate search of the area by patrol and canine officers, and the State Police Helicopter came up empty.

BeCraft was located not too far from the gas station a few hours after the incident and was arrested without incident. He’s charged with robbery, 2nd-degree assault and theft less than $1,000 .

Osborne has not been found. He faces charges of robbery and theft.
