Sykesville, Md (KM) Fire damaged a two-story, wood-framed house Friday morning in Sykesville.
43 fire fighters from Sykesville and Freedom VFC responded to 6404 White Rock Road at around 9:36 AM, and spent 25-minutes bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says damage from the blaze is estimated at $12,000 to the structure, and $8,000 the contents.
The cause remains under investigation, but officials say it originated in a second floor bedroom.
The fire was discovered by a neighbor.
