Two stores were cited by police.
Frederick, Md (KM) Tobacco Compliance Checks were conducted on Wednesday at 25 businesses in Frederick.
Police say underage volunteers entered the stores and tried to buy cigarettes and other tobacco products. Authorities say two businesses were cited for selling tobacco to minors. They are the Get Go at 1000 West Patrick Street, and Vape Addictions at 4 South McCain Street.
Frederick Police say they would like to thank these following stores for complying with the state laws against selling tobacco products to minors:

– Rite Aid Pharmacy – 1000 Key Pkwy

– Frederick Shell – 1275 W. Patrick St.
– Willowtree Liquors – 5 Willowdale Dr.
– DJ Liquors – 1306 W. Patrick St.
– Exxon – 1380 W. Patrick St.
– Waverly Beer & Wine – 45A Waverly Dr.
– 7-Eleven – 1501 W. Patrick St.
– Weis Market – 2 Old Camp Rd.
– Sheetz – 1300 E. Patrick St.
– Joey’s Express – 430 E. Patrick St.
– 7-Eleven – 501 N. East St
– East Street Liberty – 1301 N. East St.
– Eastside Liquors – 509 N. East St.
– Get Go- 1391 W. 7th St.
– Classic Cigars & British Goodies – 14 N. Market St.
– Manny Mart – 119 S. Market St.
– Fox’s Sport & Bait – 501 S. Market St.
– Urban Vape – 343 N. Market St.
– Snack Shack – 406 N. Market St.
– Lucky Liquors – 100 S. Jefferson St.
This operation was conducted with a federal grant administered by the Frederick County Health Department.
Officers say training is available for retail employees so that they can comply with the laws regarding the sales of tobacco products to minors.
