Application Period For FY 18 Community Partnership Grant Program To Begin Soon

Non-profits can begin applying on Oct. 27th.

Frederick, Md (KM)  Applications for the fiscal year 2018 Community Partnership Grant program will be taken by Frederick County beginning on Thursday, October 27th. Non-profit organizations whose  grant requests are approved  can use this money for operating expenses or one-time projects. That could include heating and air conditioning for transitional housing for homeless families, transportation services for senior citizens and behavioral health care services.

County Executive Jan Gardner says non-profit groups which serve the needs of county residents can apply. “The Community Partnership Grant program allows the county to collaborate with many of our exceptional non-profit organizations,” Gardner says in a statement. “These groups provide more effective and efficient human services than any one of us can provide.”

Applications are available at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/cpg. Potential applicants who have not previously received funding through the Community Partnership Grant application process must attend a pre-proposal meeting at 2:00 PM on October 27th at Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street in Frederick. Attendance for organizations which received funding in fiscal years 2016 and 2017 is optional.

The deadline to apply is December first. Funding awards will be considered during the budget-drafting process. The money will be available on July 1st, 2017.
