Fire Destroys Vacant Home In Williamsport

The Md. State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
Williamsport, Md. (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire at a vacant house on Tuesday afternoon in Washington County.

At around 4:04 PM, 40 fire fighters responded to the single-family, one-story home at 11,475 Golden Lea Lane in Williamsport, and spent an hour and a half bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.

Damage to the home is estimated at $107,000.

Investigators are looking into the cause and origin of the fire. Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office at 301-766-3888.

The fire was discovered by a neighbor.
