Man Arrested After Drugs Found In Toddler’s System

He’s charged with neglect of a minor.

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) – Montgomery County Police have arrested a man after PCP and Xanax were found in his 20-month-old daughter’s system.

The department said in a news release Friday that 38-year-old Jayson Hall was charged with neglect of a minor and two other offenses.

Police say Wednesday night, the child was taken to a local hospital after her brother reported that she was unresponsive. Hall was home with the child at the time.

Authorities say that blood tests performed at the hospital determined that PCP and Xanax were in the child’s system.

Investigators say the child’s mother reported that before she went to work, she noticed a bottle of pills on a table. Police say she asked Hall to put the pills where the toddler could not get them.
